Winner at Newcastle in December but below par since. Eased again in the weights but can only be watched until showing more. Visor replaces blinkers here.
Fair maiden in Ireland for John Joseph Murphy. Offered little when last of 8 in handicap (22/1) at Carlisle (9f, good) 9 days ago. Yard in good nick but must take a big step forward on reappearance to feature.
C&D winner in May but has failed to reach a consistent level since. Retains the cheekpieces he wore last time but others make more appeal.
Not scored since 2024 but has dropped to a workable mark and produced creditable efforts at Carlisle on last 2 starts. Both those runs have been boosted since and he's a big player with first-time blinkers fitted.
Won twice at Ripon over 1m last year but yet to reproduce that form this season. 14/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Pontefract (1m, good) 22 days ago, going off too hard. Eased a further 2 lb by the handicapper.
Sole career success came on his final start as a 2-y-o. Struggled for consistency for current yard in 2025 and has offered little in 3 starts this season. Cheekpieces now reached for.
Course winner in 2024 who's been lightly raced since the end of that year. Looked rusty after 13 months off on return last month and it remains to be seen whether he may still need this.
Long-standing maiden. 9/1 and in first-time tongue strap, ran up to best when third of 10 in classified stakes over C&D (good to firm) 8 days ago. The headgear is off and has place claims if repeating that effort back in a handicap.
C&D winning veteran but isn't the most reliable and has yet to better just modest form this term.

Forecasts
Runninsonofagun (2/1), Thats My Boy Luke (4/1), Starliner (9/2), Millbuie (6/1), Braes Of Doune (7/1), Gressington (10/1), Golden Valour (25/1), Eagles Dream (28/1), Whiskey Pete (28/1)
The form of RUNNINSONOFAGUN's last 2 efforts have been well advertised so he gets the nod to continue his yard's good spell. Thats My Boy Luke is too well handicapped to ignore eased slightly in grade, while Millbuie has place claims again.
