Ingleby Archie²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-0| J: J Garritty| T: Adrian Nicholls| OR: 72| D

15/8

Dual winner last spring. Went close over C&D before opening his account for the year at Nottingham last time (always holding on). Expected to make a bold bid for the double off 2 lb higher.

Form: 00-4321

Not Me²⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-13| J: Jack Nicholls⁽⁵⁾| T: A D Brown| OR: 71

9/2

Capitalised on falling mark to get off the mark on stable debut at Chester (7.6f, soft). Worth a go sprinting given how he travelled last time, though he does face contrasting conditions on this occasion.

Form: 99-5501

Eartha³⁵⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: O McSweeney| T: R A Fahey| OR: 70| D

33/1

Fairly useful juvenile winner in 2024. Something to prove returning 11 months on from an underwhelming 3-y-o season.

Form: 340/809-

Ashen⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: Rhys Elliott⁽⁵⁾| T: J S Goldie| OR: 67| BF

15/8

Better than ever since joining excellent yard, winning at Ayr (7f) before hitting the frame twice over the same C&D. Well worth another go over sprint trips in his current vein of form.

Form: 773134

(3)

Iris Dancer^b¹¹

Age: 8| Weight: 9-7| J: Connor Beasley| T: T Davidson| OR: 65| CD

4/1

Notched an eleventh C&D success on penultimate start. Predictably not in same form at Musselburgh subsequently, but she ought to bounce back on return to her favoured track.

Forecasts

Ashen (15/8), Ingleby Archie (15/8), Come On Over (3/1), Iris Dancer (4/1), Not Me (9/2), Eartha (33/1)

There's little to separate last-time-out winners COME ON OVER and Ingleby Archie, with David O'Meara's 3-y-o just shading the vote. Ashen arrives in the form of his life and cannot be discounted.
