Front runner who is well suited to this track, winning twice and hitting the frame on 3 other occasions over C&D. Off 21 months prior to this year but looked more like his old self when second at Kempton last time. Should make a bold bid if in similar heart here.
Landed C&D double in this race 12 months ago. Didn't get chance to build on promising stable debut when hampered over C&D last time. Expected to give a good account from a useful draw with cheekpieces back on.
Hold-up sort. Won with a bit in hand at Wetherby on penultimate start before creditable fifth in his follow-up bid at Doncaster. Needs things to drop right to resume winning ways, but he could be seen to good effect from handy draw off a likely strong pace.
Strong-travelling mare. Enhanced good course record with success in a well-run handicap here last September. Travelled well for long way on reappearance at Carlisle. Should find this run to suit, however, she does contest a better race than ideal.
Didn't get much luck in both starts here last year. In good heart when again finding only one too good at Wolverhampton in late-March. Back up in grade on return, and the draw hasn't been kind.
Beat a now-useful type to win C&D novice on debut last September. Below that form when slow-starting fourth in cheekpieces here latest. First-time eye-shields will need to have the desired effect, if he's to overcome stall 9.
Hasn't returned in much form this year, and it's difficult to see him adding to his 6 course wins.
No match for useful sort in C&D maiden last year. Best effort this season despite only beating 3 home in 10-runner handicap here (1¼m). Now back over significantly shorter in first-time visor, though others look better handicapped.
Hasn't tasted success since his stable debut at Chelmsford last summer. Arrives in reasonable heart with back-to-back in frame finishes. Has stall 1 to aid, but he's probably flying too high in this grade. Engaged 8.50 Chester Friday.

Eagle Bay (6/4), Percy's Lad (7/4), Obelix (11/4), Giant (9/2), Vixey (17/2), Miami Matrix (11/1), Moon Beginnings (14/1), Advance Twentyfive (22/1), He's A Gentleman (22/1), Paws For Thought (28/1)
Recent C&D winner EAGLE BAY looks most progressive, and he's fancied to make it a hat-trick. Percy's Lad loves it here and stands out as the main danger following a return to form on the all-weather last time.
