Azets Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

Contested a couple of Derby trials for Ralph Beckett last year before going on to win a 1½m Goodwood handicap in the summer. Dropped 7 lb in the weights already this season and back to best when third at Doncaster last week behind a pair of very lightly-raced 3-y-os. Each-way claims again.

Ran a cracker when second in handicap here at the Dante meeting in May, having won the same race in 2025. Possibly found race coming too soon when down the field at Thirsk later that month. Is well treated at present but is generally hard to catch right.

Won 6 times in the first half of last year, including 22-runner handicap at this course in May. Has returned in good heart, placed on his last 4 outings, but free-going sort has stamina to prove stepping up significantly in trip.

Course winner who hasn't tasted success since November 2024. Has posted several creditable efforts this year but produced a lacklustre effort here last time. Is on a handy mark but others look more persuasive.

Placed on 3 of his 4 starts this season. 6/1, quickly back on track when second of 14 in handicap over C&D (good to firm) 13 days ago, having run of race. A further rise in the weights sees him on a career-high mark and more will be required.

Recorded back-to-back wins over 1¼m at Sandown last summer. Made the frame on first 3 outings this season before not being seen to best effect when finishing in mid-division over C&D last month. Did best of those held up there and so is worth treating as though still very much in form.

Showed improved form and a stellar attitude when off the mark at the fourth attempt in 7-runner maiden at Hamilton (9f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Is well bred and looks open to further improvement now switched to handicap company.

Won 7f Thirsk novice in September and has been shaping up well in handicaps over further since, finishing second of 9 at Redcar (1¼m, good) 3 weeks ago. Should find himself in the mix again, with a stronger gallop sure to see him to good effect.

Progressive on the whole this season, winning at Newmarket and Hamilton. Showed she remains in form when second of 8 in handicap at Chester (10.3f, good to firm) 13 days ago but steps back into open company here and may not get her own way out in front.

Won 3 of his last 4 outings in lower-grade handicaps, latest in 7-runner race at Wetherby (1¼m, firm, 11/10) in June. The further improvement required here can't be ruled out.
