Made it 3 non-completions from as many starts over hurdles at Punchestown last month, though not before showing a good deal when coming to grief. Tongue strap on for 1st time.

Looked exciting prospect when winning a pair of bumpers in 2023/24, including a Grade 2 at Leopardstown. Showed the benefit of a considerate comeback switched to hurdling when fourth of 15 in 2¾m maiden at Ballinrobe 46 days ago and open to improvement.
£16,000 3-y-o, Jack Hobbs gelding. Dam (c115/h100) 2m-3m hurdle/chase winner. Made frame on 2 of 3 starts in points in 2026.
Point winner who has run to a barely modest level in a pair of maiden hurdles. Will be of more interest in handicaps after this.
Point winner who went backwards from hurdling debut when seventh of 11 in maiden at Wexford (3m, good to firm, 28/1) 7 days ago.
Fair winner in bumpers who shaped as if retaining ability on third run back from an absence when second in 9-runner maiden at Listowel (2½m, good to soft) 41 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time and his task is to back that up.
Court Cave mare. Dam (h93), maiden hurdler (stayed 23f), half-sister to fair hurdle winner/fairly useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Avoca Promise.
Looks more one for handicaps after this run.
Has shown nothing in a bumper/maiden hurdle. Blinkers now tried.
Winning pointer who showed promise on her sole outing in bumpers and fared much better than first time up over hurdles when second in 2m maiden at Navan in February. Proved a let-down at Clonmel but more like it when third in 2¾m maiden at Downpatrick 12 weeks later. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.
Court Cave mare. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Macs Charm and fair hurdler/useful chaser Monatomic. Placed in points, including last time (Nov 2025). Wears tongue strap for Rules debut and the market should offer up some clues.

Forecasts
Jeroboam Machin (8/13), Sound Judgement (4/1), Withabitofluk (4/1), Young Doran (9/2), C Pas Possible (12/1), Ajp Falco (20/1), Star Cave (25/1), Riverstown Boy (25/1), Mind Eraser (28/1), Howyasox (40/1), Deerpark Lassie (66/1), The Boysofairhill (100/1), Pegasuslane (400/1)
JEROBOAM MACHIN evidently hasn't been the easiest to train, but he showed the benefit of a considerate return when fourth on his hurdling debut at Ballinrobe in May and is likely to improve, particularly given the level of form he achieved in bumpers. Young Doran rates the chief threat after an encouraging debut over hurdles at the same venue, while Withabitofluk also enters the reckoning if building on his latest effort.
