Tide Construction Apprentice Handicap (Str)

All-weather winner last year who improved to make a successful reappearance at Yarmouth (1¼m) in April. Bettered that form when a very good third of 11 at Newbury (1¼m) next time (strong form) and while he's been brushed aside twice since, this is a marked drop in class.

Hard to knock his consistency during the spring, gaining reward in a 1m handicap at Kempton in April. Very rare lesser effort over that C&D following a short break last week but likely to bounce back given overall profile.

Likeable performer who won on final start in 2025 at Kempton and picked up where he left when following up there in May. Lesser effort at Newbury but bounced back at former venue 11 days ago, typically travelling with plenty of zest and still in the hunt when meeting trouble late.

Consistent sort who hasn't won since December 2024 but arrives on the back of a quartet of in-frame efforts over 7f. Equally effective over 1m and no reason why he won't give his running again.

Is on a long losing run but was placed 7 times in 2025. Very low-key start to this year but ridden from the front and more like it at Newmarket 3 weeks ago, weakening late on.

Finished second to a progressive rival over 1m at Southwell in October and returned to a similar level on first outing for new stable (sold for 13,000 gns out of Charlie Johnston's yard) when causing a 33/1 surprise at Wolverhampton in January. Lacked the pace for 7f at York 4 months later.

Progressed well dropped to this trip last season and he stepped forward from his comeback with a career-best victory in a 9-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in April. Fair third in a deeper handicap at Windsor a month later.

Won handicaps at Doncaster and Thirsk during the spring but raised 7 lb for latter success and has looked in the grip of the assessor since.
