Better than ever when landing a double under this claimer at Hexham last October and ran creditably, on return from 6 months off, at Plumpton in April. Needs to bounce back from a poor effort at Cartmel, though.

Readily landed a first handicap hurdle success at Huntingdon prior to following up with a fair bit in hand on chase debut at Worcester in May. Did well to get up from poor position to land the hat-trick over this trip at same course 26 days ago and a 4 lb higher mark looks manageable.
Landed second success since a breathing operation when seeing off a couple of subsequent winners at Aintree in October and ran to similar level when sixth of 9 in handicap hurdle (16/1) at Haydock (3m, good) 94 days ago. Others look better treated.
Successful on 4 of last 5 starts over hurdles, latest when easily taking 4-runner handicap at Fontwell (2¾m, good, 5/2) 44 days ago. This is more competitive but a 5 lb rise looks fair. Respected.
Won the EBF Final at Sandown in March 2024 but hasn't progressed as might have been expected since. However, cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and posted best effort for a while when second of 7 in handicap hurdle over shorter trip at Warwick 48 days ago. Enters calculations.

Enjoyed fine 2025/26 campaign (6 wins) and starts off for new yard on a workable mark. Sean Bowen is an eye-catching booking and not handicapped out of things if he can translate hunter form back over hurdles.
Fairly useful on the Flat and over hurdles for Adrian Keatley before making a winning start over fences for new yard at Southwell in November. Not really built on that, though, and others are more persuasive.
Fairly useful bumper winner who has really got his act together over hurdles this term, scoring at Kelso and Hexham in recent months. Handicapper applies further pressure but he looks sure to go close in hat-trick bid.
Useful 3m handicap hurdler at best but rather lost his way for Nigel Twiston-Davies. Run well in points since but displayed little in a couple of starts in this sphere for current yard.
Useful earlier in his career but has offered little obvious promise since returning from a long absence. Now tried in first-time cheekpieces.
Dual C&D winner in 2024 but clearly had issues since and below that level in both starts this year. Something to prove on first start for new yard here.

Preference is for ABBEY SCOPE, who found further improvement when stepped up to this trip at Hexham last month and could have more to offer yet. Sunray Shadow who bids for the 4-timer and Champagne Twist, who took a big step back in the right direction at Warwick head the list of dangers,
