Fair dual chase scorer in France this year who took a Worcester handicap (2½m, good) in impressive fashion on debut this yard in May. Ran well on the back of a 9 lb rise when third here last month and every chance he can regain the winning thread back up in trip with yard still going well.
Yet another good advert for James Owen, landing the Durham National back in this sphere at Sedgefield (29.2f) in October. A handful of creditable efforts since but looked rusty after 3 months off when down the field at Stratford (3½m, good) in May. Should strip fitter here.
Prolific in points and off the mark on fifth start under Rules (and second in a handicap chase) when accounting for 7 rivals at this course (3¼m) in November. Shaped as if amiss back here in January and hasn't been seen since.
Thorough stayer who landed a 5-timer in 2025. Yet to fire this campaign though, his idle streak seemingly getting worse, tried in a change of headgear when fourth of 6 in at Cartmel (25f, good) 11 days ago. Now 3 lb below last winning mark but needs to show more.
Winner of back-to-back handicap hurdles in 2024/25, he ran as well as he ever has following another breathing operation when runner-up in a Hexham handicap chase (typically not fluent) in May. Disappointing over hurdles at Worcester last time but can bounce back. First-time visor on.
Made it 3-3 over fences for Harry Derham when landing a Warwick handicap in May 2025. However, looks on the downgrade after recent stable switch so can only be watched at present.

Forecasts
Karnaval Point (5/4), Paper Mill (4/1), Fairlawn Flyer (9/2), Ivane (11/2), Eaton Anne (13/2), A Dublin Job (40/1)
KARNAVAL POINT has made a solid start for David Pipe and with this step back up in trip sure to pose no problems, he can regain the winning thread at the expense of Ivane, who is expected to show more with his Stratford reappearance under his belt. Eaton Anne rounds off the shortlist provided his jumping holds up back chasing.
