Not scored for some time but had been knocking on the door this season over a variety of trips before finding run of good form coming to a halt when well beaten at York 3 weeks ago. He's the type to bounce back though, and will be suited by the forecast strong pace.

Resumed winning ways upped to 1¼m at Newcastle in February on return. Wasn't seen to best effect when seventh of 9 in handicap at Nottingham (8.3f, soft) 22 days ago. Now back down to last winning mark and this strong-travelling sort could see this setting up ideally with Loughnane in the saddle.

Won 3 times at Kempton in the second half of last year and got his head back in front in 1m Goodwood apprentice handicap last month, overcoming trouble in-running. He's lightly raced on turf and remains of interest on the back of a 2 lb rise.
Successful twice on polytrack in a truncated 2025 campaign and has proven pretty consistent this season despite his quirks. Showed no ill effects from clipping heels and unseating his rider at Goodwood last month when turning in a respectable effort at York just a week later. Each-way claims.
Two wins around 1m last year and ran well when third on Wolverhampton reappearance in January (final start for James Tate). Has shown little in 2 starts for current yard and is left with a bit to prove now with first-time cheekpieces fitted.
Had a productive winter on the all-weather before making a winning return on the turf at Lingfield (7f) under a well-judged ride. Is unlikely to get things his own way this time back at a stiffer track and looks vulnerable for win purposes.
Made the places on first 2 starts last summer for James Owen. Showed much improved form on stable debut to open his account in 5-runner novice at Lingfield (7.6f, good) on return in May, pulling clear with one from top yard who cost plenty. Unexposed sort very much of interest on handicap debut.
Won a 7f claimer in France last summer. Mixed record for this yard but his second behind H key Lails at Lingfield at the beginning of last month was one of his better efforts. However, he followed that with a below-par run at Brighton just 8 days later.
Lightly raced gelding who won a heavy-ground 5f maiden at Nottingham for David Evans over 2 years ago but has made little impact in 5 starts since, last 2 for current yard.
Runner-up in 7f maiden at Newmarket in April before occupying the same position in all-weather novice at Lingfield (7f) the following month. May do better now handicapping.

Ascending Star (2/1), Thursday Girl (4/1), Triple Double A (4/1), Cristo (5/1), Epictetus (6/1), Dovey Moon (10/1), Silca Bay (12/1), Amused (40/1), H Key Lails (50/1), Chilly Breeze (66/1), Special Ghaiyyath (80/1)
Claims can be made for a number of these but ASCENDING STAR makes most appeal to follow up from Lingfield on his handicap bow. The biggest challengers are Silca Bay and Triple Double A in that order, with Epictetus not out of things in a race that could be run at a strong tempo.
