Yet to really fire this season and though he might not have been suited by the drop back to 5f when sixth of 9 in handicap at Sandown 17 days ago, his record on turf is still unconvincing.
Three-time C&D winner but without a victory since December 2024. Placed on 3 occasions this year, including over C&D in May, and wasn't disgraced in the face of a troubled passage when seventh of 12 in another C&D race 2 weeks ago.
In the frame on 4 consecutive outings prior to notching another course success in May and has remained in good heart since, a solid third of 9 in handicap at Sandown (5f, good to soft, 4/1) 17 days ago, despite being unsuited by the way race developed. Player back up in trip.
Rejoined his previous yard from James Owen in March. Easy winner at Leicester (6f) and was back to form from his higher mark when third of 9 back at that same C&D 16 days ago. Eased 1 lb since and holds place claims again.
Very lightly raced for his age but he was a close third at Bath on just his second handicap outing back in September. Hood goes back on his first start after an 8-month absence (left Eve Johnson Houghton).
Capitalised on a drop in grade when proving too strong for 7 rivals at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last month and not disgraced when fourth of 14 over C&D (good to firm) 8 days later. Always behind back here 2 weeks ago, though, so will need to bounce back.
Took advantage of much-reduced mark at Chepstow last month, landing a gamble in the process. Then left Thomas Faulkner but ran only respectable despite finding himself well positioned when fourth of 16 at Newmarket (6f) 10 days ago. Still well treated on old form.
Three-time C&D winner stepped up on his return when second of 12 in handicap at Newbury (6f, firm, 9/2) 6 days ago, collared in the final 50 yds by one that had been played even later. Remains below last winning mark and looks to hold strong claims again.
Seemed to settle a bit better when a good fourth over 7f at Lingfield on return and can be excused his next outing at Salisbury, still to be asked for an effort when broadsided by a rival. Keen again and eventually did too much too soon at Sandown (7f) last time, so now drops to sprint trip.

Monsieur Patat (5/2), Lequinto (4/1), Amazonian Dream (5/1), Northcliff (5/1), Yachtsman (6/1), Mumayaz (17/2), Carbine Harvester (17/2), Robert Anstruther (12/1), Akabusi (16/1), Echo Of Faith (16/1), Trafalger (33/1)
MONSIEUR PATAT went close from this mark at Newbury last week and he's fancied to notch a fourth C&D success. Lequinto also boasts a good record here and is shortlisted alongside the still-unexposed Yachtsman.
