Newcastle Airport Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

Blue Point colt who stepped up on debut when third of 4 in novice at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Winner has since franked the form (third in the Albany) so he must be taken seriously.

100,000 gns yearling, Havana Grey colt. Dam, 2-y-o 1m winner, half-sister to smart 1m-1¼m winner Sky Kingdom out of New Zealand Group 1 1m winner We Can Say It Now. Showed plenty of ability in novices at Ascot/York and this looks a good opportunity.

Very green but got the idea by the finish when 7 lengths third of 9 in maiden at Pontefract on debut but pulled too hard upped in trip at Beverley since.

8,000 gns yearling, Perfect Power colt. Dam unraced half-sister to useful winner up to 8.5f Fizzy Friday. Offered little in Ripon novice.

Lope Y Fernandez gelding. Half-brother to 9.5f/1¼m winner Lethal Touch and 1m winner Vondelpark. Well held in novice at Musselburgh.

350,000 gns Starman colt who was better for debut when sixth of 10 in novice at Thirsk (7f, good, 12/1) 25 days ago, shaping as if a return to this trip will be in his favour.

Foaled March 21. £58,000 yearling, Nando Parrado gelding. Closely related to several winners, including useful winner up to 1m Ragga Bomb and 6f/7f winner Follow Suit. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Yard occasionally has winning debutants.
