Murray Group Gallop Handicap Hurdle

Ended 2025 badly out of sorts but a breathing operation and drop in trip worked the oracle as he landed a handicap hurdle at Fontwell on return to action last month. Ran to similar level when second of 3 over C&D (good, 2/1) last month but this looks more competitive.

Front runner who took advantage of a drop in the weights with a game victory over C&D in April and ran just about as well in defeat off revised mark here 3 weeks later. Needs to bounce back from a poor run at Plumpton, though. Blinkers back on.

Completely lost his form after winning over 2½m at Ffos Las this time last year and little impact at Worcester earlier this month. Best watched.

Fairly-useful Flat performer who opened his account over hurdles at Uttoxeter (3m) last month and backed that up with ceditable second of 5 over same C&D since. Ought to give another good account.

Bumper winner who took advantage of a reduced mark when scoring over shorter trip at Ludlow last month and ran just as well in defeat when second of 8 in handicap hurdle (6/4) at Southwell (3m, good) 21 days ago. Must be of interest here.

Not scored since 2024 but returned to form in recent starts for in-form yard, latest when creditable third of 10 in handicap hurdle at Cartmel (25f, good) 27 days ago. Likely player.

Gained a deserved breakthrough victory at Huntingdon (25f) in November and acquitted himself well in defeat since, latest when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Southwell (3m, good) 21 days ago, having run of race. Not out of things.

Course winner who ran near best form when third of 5 in handicap hurdle over C&D (good, 6/4) 11 days ago. Visor on first time. Likely to be in the mix again.
