£115,000 Mehmas gelding who won back-to-back races at Ripon but looked too high in the weights in a pair of handicaps last autumn. Handily drawn for one with his style, though.
On a long losing sequence but he has a solid record in class 4 company, latterly when beaten by less than a length at Southwell in early-January, having arguably gone off a shade too hard.
Back on the same mark as when winning a similar event to this at Doncaster last September. Shaped better than beaten distance when a well-backed fifth in a big-field York handicap last time and with the drop back in trip set to suit, he can open his account for the season.
4-time C&D winner probably found the race coming too soon when well held in a better race at York last time and should be more competitive on the back of a 4-week break.
Isn't the easiest to win with and again hindered his chance at the start when fifth of 9 in a higher grade at Doncaster latest. First-time cheekpieces could sharpen him up, though, and he's undoubtedly well treated on last season's form.
4-time C&D winner who extended a long losing run when fourth of 10 in a class 5 C&D handicap last time, however, he remains on a handy mark and should find this run to suit.
Wore first-time hood when landing first success for current yard at Newcastle. Ran respectably in her follow-up bid when fourth over 6f here following a 10-week break, though yard's other runners better fancied.
A winner twice in slightly lower grades last year, he bounced right back to form when runner-up in softer-than-ideal conditions at Catterick and makes appeal from 3 lb below his latest successful mark.
Made a slow start to this year but she wasn't seen to best effect when fourth of 7 at Hamilton on her latest start (raced solo) and has fallen a long way in the weights since winning in similar company at Thirsk last summer.

Forecasts
Lethal Nymph (2/1), Equity Law (5/1), Goyard (15/2), Ventura Express (8/1), Reigning Profit (17/2), D Flawless (9/1), Squealer (10/1), Hiya Maite (11/1), Dakota Gold (12/1), South Parade (16/1)
A wide-open event that could set up perfectly for LETHAL NYMPH and Ventura Express, who may well land a 1-2 for the Paul Midgley yard. First-time cheekpieces are added in a bid to remedy Squealer's tardy starts, and he's dangerously well handicapped, while Equity Law is expected to go well from stall 1.
