Sales price more than doubled at the Breeze-Ups and showed why he was punted on debut (failed to handle the track at Newmarket) when winning Wolverhampton novice in a good time under this rider. More to come so not to be underestimated.

Just touched off on debut at Wolverhampton (6f) before too keen at Chester. Drop down in trip will help but this is a massive ask.

No Nay Never colt who made heavy weather of landing skinny odds at Naas on second start but looked much sharper when reeled in only late by subsequent Coventry winner Great Barrier Reef in Marble Hill at the Curragh 4 weeks ago. The one to beat on that form with this stiff 5f sure to suit.

Didn't have to improve from debut to win Redcar maiden but that form is weak in the context of this. Bought for £100,000 at the Goffs London Sale on Monday.

82,000 gns foal, £180,000 2-y-o, Mehmas colt. Half-brother to 5.7f-7f winner Thurso. Dam 5f winner. Bred to be speedy and looked just that when clocking a good time to win 5-runner Bath novice 4 weeks ago. Runner-up has since boosted the form in the Coventry but stable remain quiet.

€68,000 foal, €130,000 yearling, Persian Force colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 2-y-o 7.4f winner Andromaca. Confirmed debut promise when easy winner of ordinary maiden at Naas when in the care of Robson De Aguiar. This much harder but he has potential. Headgear goes on.

Persian Force colt who confirmed debut promise in spades when reeling in the front runner in 15-runner novice at York. Stable has good record in this and can go well under Spencer.

Looked something out of the ordinary when making a winning debut at the Curragh, having to wait for a gap before quickening up well to beat Carry The Flag. Not seen to best effect in a steadily-run event at Naas since and he remains with plenty of potential. Interesting.

€250,000 yearling, resold 575,000 gns yearling, Blue Point colt. Dam, 1¼m winner, sister to smart 9f/1¼m winner Carla Bianca. Looked a good prospect when coming from off the pace to make a winning debut in maiden at Navan under this rider. That form has plenty of substance so he's not taken lightly.

Forecasts

Carry The Flag (5/2), Orthodox (9/2), Fanshell Beach (13/2), Force Noir (7/1), Savage Mariner (11/1), Ez Tina (12/1), Where Love Lives (12/1), Star Prospect (14/1), Flight Signal (22/1), Through The Years (25/1), Social Symbol (33/1), Tribeca (33/1), Persian Spring (33/1), Agamemnon (40/1), Underdog (40/1), New Yorker (50/1), Mussab (66/1), Mr Macartney (100/1), Sovereign Glory (100/1), El Floridita (150/1), Blake's Monarch (150/1)

Verdict

CARRY THE FLAG is the obvious one having been reeled in only late by Tuesday's Coventry winner Great Barrier Reef in the Marble Hill at the Curragh. This stiff 5f should be ideal for the son of No Nay Never (winner of this race in 2013) and he can provide Aidan O'Brien with a record-breaking fifth win. Where Love Lives is another whose form has been boosted by the Coventry, while the betting suggests Ez Tina is the pick of Wesley Ward's 3 fillies.
