Ended a long losing run over 8.5f here in March (second past the post but promoted) but has barely beaten a rival in 4 other starts in 2026.
Back-to-back winner at Nottingham (1¼m) in July last year. However, ended the campaign on a low-key note and yet to fully find form this season, albeit fourth-place finish in cheekpieces at Windsor was a step back in the right direction.
Veteran who suffered a couple of near misses in March and confirmed that he's a more solid proposition on the all-weather these days when third of 12 over 1½m here 18 days ago. Fully-fledged rider back in the saddle but long time since he's raced over a trip as short as this.
Won twice over C&D in April with cheekpieces fitted. Headgear surprisingly left off since and last 2 efforts suggest new mark is beyond him.
Free-going sort who added to his debut success (when trained by Clive Cox) in handicap at Leicester (1¼m, firm) last month. Excellent second under a penalty over C&D since, deserving credit given he was drawn wide and he can remain very competitive.
A winner at Chelmsford in January and better than ever when winning 11-runner handicap at this C&D 14 days ago by short head from Study Up. Shouldn't be very much between them again.
Without a win since his debut in 2024 but ran best race for a while (gambled on) without getting things run to suit when close fourth at Doncaster in April. Failed to justify market confidence again at Ayr 4 weeks ago but was hampered. Looks worth a go at this trip so he's a big player.
Finally shed maiden status with Tom Marquand booked in 8.5f course handicap a fortnight ago. Well positioned but he can remain competitive.
Winless in 9 starts and well held back from a short break over 8.5f here in January. Off again since.
Maiden who has yet to find his form this season, late headway having been hampered when sixth of 15 in handicap at Windsor (1¼m) in a first time tongue tie. Cheekpieces now added.
C&D winner in October but off since a heavy defeat back here 2 months and he's likely to need this given profile.

Forecasts
Wolf Of Badenoch (10/3), Kaaranah (4/1), Asian Journey (9/2), Beachborough Girl (6/1), Study Up (7/1), Eagle Day (12/1), Le Pelerin (12/1), Saliko (12/1), Pleasant Man (18/1), Implied Volatility (25/1), Have You A Minute (40/1)
WOLF OF BADENOCH hasn't been able to justify market confidence on his last 2 outings but he shaped quite well on both occasions and worth another crack at this sort of trip, he could be the answer. Beachborough Girl and Study Up finished first and second over C&D 2 weeks later with the latter feared most.
