Didn't kick on as expected in handicaps last season but caught the eye a bit from a slipping mark when sixth of 8 at Musselburgh (9f, good to firm) 5 days ago, finishing with running left. First-time cheekpieces go on and he could be ready to strike reunited with Mulrennan.
Capitalised on a much-reduced mark to land a gamble over 9f at Musselburgh in April and ran at least as well when runner-up the last twice, most recently there (12.5f, good) just under 3 weeks ago. The winner that day has gone in again since so could prove a tough nut to crack back down in trip.
Ended last season with back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton and completed the hat-trick at Thirsk on return. Again ran well having a rare try beyond 7f when second of 8 at Ayr (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks ago so should continue in good heart.
Enhanced excellent record at Beverley and better than ever when winning 9-runner event there in April, well on top finish. Found less than looked likely when down the field back there (8.5f, good) last month and worth noting he's never won off a mark in the 60s.
Capitalised on a falling mark when opening account in 15-runner event at Nottingham in April and was only a nose away from doubling tally at Leicester last month. Quickly left a lesser effort behind when fourth of 7 at former course 10 days ago and should remain competitive.
Fair maiden who shaped as if better for the run dropped in grade after 7 months off when last of 9 at Carlisle (9f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Slight drop in trip should help and this will reveal what ability remains.
Reliable sort who gained a deserved success over C&D last month. Has backed that up with a couple of solid efforts, most recently when fifth of 12 at Ripon (1m, good to firm) last week.
On a losing run, his habitual slow starts not helping. Will need everything to fall right if he's to end what's nearly a 2-year losing streak so the percentage call is to look elsewhere.
Winner of a big-field sprint off 5 lb higher at Ayr last July but ended last season on a low note and little encouragement both starts this season, not staying the trip when fifth of 8 at Ayr (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. She looks an easy swerve kept to this distance.
Dropped in distance for turf debut and showed improved form when third of 13 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good to firm) just over a fortnight ago. More unexposed than most and not out of things if able to build on that returned to 1m (should suit).
Long-standing maiden who turned in the best effort of his life when third of 13 in minor event at Newcastle (1¼m) last week. Hardly an obvious type to back that up given his profile, though.

Forecasts
The Sweet Escape (4/1), Spirit Catcher (5/1), Perfidia (5/1), Mwafaq (11/2), Tees George (17/2), Condotti (9/1), Motawaared (9/1), Pisanello (10/1), Hunterian (16/1), Millbuie (16/1), South Road (66/1)
SPIRIT CATCHER is in fine form at present and having been beaten by one last time that's gone in again since, Philip Kirby's 7-y-o can regain the winning thread at the expense of Motawaared, who caught the eye a bit from a slipping mark last week and has a fully-fledged rider back on board. The unexposed Hunterian and The Sweet Escape can do battle for minor honours.
