Fairly useful winner on the Flat but he hasn't better modest form over hurdles, again finishing well held in a C&D maiden last time, and it's hard to be confident that this tricky customer will fare any better on second start in a handicap.

Showed he can be competitive off this sort of mark when runner-up at Market Rasen last February and wasn't disgraced in finishing fifth of 14 at Uttoxeter last summer. His record when fresh is mixed, and the market should help guide.

Gambled on after 18 months off when capitalising on a basement mark on stable debut at Market Rasen. Travelled well but was possibly a shade fortunate to follow up at Warwick subsequently (having been easy to back) but is much improved since joining this yard and should go well again.

Shaped as though ready for longer trips when fifth over C&D on qualifying run. Showed more than being pulled up would suggest on handicap debut here (2½m, soft) on his latest start, and the return to less testing conditions should benefit.

Having been brought along steadily, he improved again when no match for Breadalbane Lass on handicap debut over C&D (despite being unconsidered in the betting) and is at least better off at the weights now reopposing.

Steadily progressive in maiden/novice races, he went like the best horse at the weights before being outslogged on testing ground when third over 2½m here on his handicap debut. Unlikely to be inconvenienced by the return to 2m/less testing conditions and he makes plenty of appeal.

Irish point winner who has run poorly on both starts since finishing fourth on handicap bow at Musselburgh, latterly over C&D in late-April, and she has something to prove at present.

Maiden left behind his previous efforts when 8¼ lengths third behind Allibaba on handicap debut, however, that's still only poor form and he needs to brush up on his jumping to be more competitive.

Looks out of sorts in both codes at present and reverts to hurdles with questions to answer.

Showed her quirks when splitting a pair of next-time-out winners at Carlisle before taking a significant step forward with a decisive C&D success. Host of reasons that could explain her subsequent disappointment at Hexham, and she's worth another chance returning to this track.

Sloppy jumper who has followed a creditable third at Carlisle with a couple of poor efforts, failing to see out his race any better in a first-time tongue strap at Hexham last time.

Well beaten in a Hexham seller on his latest start and seemingly retains little ability.

No impact in juvenile/novice races last season, though found her feet back on the level with success in a 1½m handicap at Pontefract last time, and could be capable of much better now pitched into a handicap hurdle for the first time by her impressive stable.

An interesting race for the grade. Recent Flat winner BLONDINA could prove a different proposition now sent handicapping by a yard making a name for itself and she appeals most, especially if supported. Betteryouthanme shaped well on handicap debut here last time and is feared, along with Breadalbane Lass, who bids to make it 2-2 at this track. Hat-trick seeking Allibaba deserves an honourable mention.
