Twice a winner in 2024 (including at this course) but only made track 3 times last year and struggled on recent return from 8 months off. Blinkers back on and tongue strap removed so has something to prove.
Showing better form of late, running well when second of 11 in a handicap at Salisbury 13 days ago. Largely consistent despite his quirks and can be competitive.
Made it 2 wins on the all-weather when successful in a fairly useful Chelmsford seller for Karl Burke in late-February (subsequently sold for £12,000). Found things tougher back in handicap company the last twice, racing freely with cheekpieces reapplied last time and claimer now takes over.
Shaped encouragingly when third of 11 at Musselburgh in April on first start for shrewd yard since leaving Hugo Palmer but couldn't build on that when seventh of 11 at Nottingham 27 days ago. Capable of better and any cut in the ground will suit.
Won handicaps at Doncaster in March and Thirsk 34 days ago but was raised 7lb and only finished eighth of 12 back at latter track 20 days ago. Capable on his day but inconsistent.
A 3-time all-weather winner in 2025 and performed creditably when making frame 2 of 3 starts this year, going without cheekpieces on latest. Headgear now reapplied and he's unexposed on turf so merits some respect.
Won 3 times in 2025 but struggled on last 2 starts that year and failed to beat a rival on recent return from 6 months off so has something to prove.
Won back-to-back 6f handicaps at Southwell in the autumn but has rather lost his way since. Struggled on first outing since leaving Robert Cowell and looks best opposed trying a new trip.
Showed ability for Ed Walker but has achieved little in 4 starts for this yard this year (twice over hurdles).

Forecasts
Cristo (5/2), Asteverdi (11/4), Silca Bay (3/1), Rising Force (6/1), Jakarta (10/1), Port Erin (16/1), City Of God (22/1), Canopus (40/1), Ararat (100/1)
ASTEVERDI shaped encouragingly on her yard debut at Musselburgh in April and, whilst she couldn't build on that at Nottingham 27 days ago, is capable of better and any cut in the ground is sure to suit. Silca Bay wasted no time getting back to form when fourth at Salisbury 13 days ago and is feared most with cheekpieces back on.
