C&D winner but hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons and made no impact in 2 starts here this year. Down another 3 lb and has cheekpieces back on.
Off the mark in 6f handicap here on New Year's Day and has generally performed with credit since. Drops in class for first go at 1m.
Not won since August 2024 and merely ticking over at present, never a threat at Leicester last time.
Drawn a blank since his 4 C&D victories in 2024. Excuses on turf last time and with that race having produced winners he might be worth another chance back at this venue.
Took advantage of the drop into classified company when taking 1¼m event on return here in March. Caught wide throughout and pulled hard under apprentice at Wolverhampton last time and could bounce back returned to 1m.
Frequent slow starter who is tumbling down the weights and stopped the slide back on turf at Ayr (7f) last time. Well treated if backing that up returned to 1m (4-time C&D winner).
In good form earlier in the year reunited with Luke Morris, winning at Wolverhampton and Lingfield. Has his first run at Newcastle back from 2 months off with promising apprentice up.
Has won over C&D 4 times and produced his most encouraging effort of the season when fourth at Ripon (Barleybrown sixth) a fortnight ago, keeping on having taken a strong hold.
Possibly finding his way back to form and now 4 lb below his last successful mark. Plenty of good runs here (including a C&D win) bring him into the picture.
Won at Southwell (7f) in November and was in good heart when last seen, running well on first go over 1m in January. Could be set for a big run if picking up where he left off.
Hasn't built on his Newcastle third first time up so far, always behind on handicap debut at Southwell 12 days ago. Has his first run over 1m now.
Ayr maiden winner for Charlie Johnston in 2023 but has drawn a blank since and was well beaten again at Southwell 2 months ago (too free in a first-time visor). Drops back markedly in trip on first visit to Newcastle.
Not the easiest of rides and while she managed to get her head in front at Ffos Las in September, she has yet to fire this year.

BARLEYBROWN isn't one for maximum faith but has dropped a long way in the weights and is worth chancing to add to his 4 C&D wins in 2024. Cable Beach was in good form when last seen in January and is unexposed over this trip, while the veteran Trais Fluors offered more encouragement at Ayr last time and is another multiple Newcastle winner.
