Desert Champion²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: P Mulrennan| T: P T Midgley| OR: 52| D

4/1

Showed more spark in a reapplied visor when runner-up at Newcastle in November. Has failed to back that up since but better than bare result both starts this season and potentially on a good mark if everything clicks.

Form: 9288-78

5/2

Been a mixed bag since opening her account in a classified stakes over C&D in March, though latest second at Redcar was a good effort and player back here with a repeat.

Form: 174492

Jeany May^v⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: Rowan Scott| T: N Tinkler| OR: 50| D

4/1

Failed to win in 2025 and few positives to draw from her 4 starts this year, though at least made more of an impact in this headgear and from her much-reduced mark at Redcar last week.

Form: 30-0804

Forecasts

Auntie Jo (5/2), Jeany May (4/1), Desert Champion (4/1), Bishop's Glory (9/2), What What What (5/1), A Lady Forever (17/2), Let's Go Hugo (10/1), Barney's Bay (50/1), Hyrcanian (50/1), Posh Maisie (100/1)

It could be worth chancing DESERT CHAMPION, who's in better form than his recent form figures suggest and has eased to a tempting mark. Auntie Jo and Bishop's Glory are feared most.
