Havana Grey colt cost £140,000 earlier this year and justified good support to provide his yard with a first juvenile winner of the season when taking a 7-runner maiden at Newcastle (6f) on debut 11 days ago. Others perhaps won stronger races but he's open to progress.
Ubettabelieveit colt. Very green when down the field behind Matteo here on debut but much improved when winning a 6-runner novice at this C&D (good) 18 days ago, forging clear in the final 1f to score by 5 lengths. Should have more to offer.
Mehmas colt. £50,000 yearling. Made a winning start to his career in a 5f Bath novice (good) over Easter but seemed beaten on merit when third of 7 in the Lily Agnes at Chester (5f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Visor on 1st time.
€43,000 Coulsty colt from a speedy family. Very much knew his job when running out a wide-margin winner of a 9-runner novice at this C&D (good to firm) on debut 37 days ago. Runner-up has scored since and he's likely to improve himself.
120,000 gns yearling, Mehmas colt. Looked an impressive type physically and fared best of the newcomers when a running-on second in a 15-runner York novice (6f, good) on his debut 16 days ago. Open to progress.
Kuroshio colt was placed at C&D on his first 2 outings but raced too freely when sixth of 12 in maiden (4/1) at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Probably up against it in a race of this depth.
75,000 gns yearling, Kodiac colt. Looked a likely type on paper but didn't put up much of a fight when 6¼ lengths sixth of 7 to Big Cigar in maiden at Newcastle (6f) on debut 11 days ago.
Blackbeard colt from a family that connections have had plenty of success with and he emerged best of the newcomers when fourth of 7 in novice at Newmarket (5f, good to firm, 15/8) on debut 27 days ago. Yard have won this twice in the last 4 years and no surprise if he produced an improved effort.
Foaled March 20. 140,000 gns yearling, Blue Point colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 1m winner News At Ten and 2-y-o 6f/7f winner Uncle Jerry. Dam 1¼m winner. Makes debut in a hot race but there's plenty to recommend about him on paper.

Forecasts
Matteo (11/10), Arapaho Gold (11/4), Big Cigar (11/2), The Dancing Pirate (9/1), Clash Of Hearts (18/1), Wait Geordie (18/1), Blue Pete (33/1), Ronson (50/1), Concert Pitch (66/1), Martial Order (66/1)
MATTEO is bred to be precocious and handed a decisive beating to a next-time-out winner here on debut. He gets the verdict over Arapaho Gold and Clash of Hearts in what should prove a really informative heat.
