Improved a little by the run in novice/maiden company, opening his account at fourth attempt at Doncaster (1¼m) in March. Didn't see his race out when fifth on handicap debut at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and this further increase in trip needs to unlock further progress.

Confirmed debut promise when winning 11-runner maiden at Yarmouth (9f) in September. Back on track having been gelded when third in warm York handicap over this trip a fortnight ago and he can do even better still. First start on all-weather.

Won 5-runner novice at Pontefract in October and a match at Southwell on return (from Magnetude) having been gelded. His old rival got his revenge at Chester (1½m) 3 weeks ago, the much sharper track probably more in that one's favour (Mythical Bay second) and he remains with potential.

Off the mark in 5-runner Wolverhampton novice (9.5f) in January, beating a next-time-out winner, and having been gelded, shaped well upped to this trip when second at Chester (Galilean Quality third) 3 weeks ago. From a useful family and looks sure to win handicaps.

Forecasts

Mythical Bay (7/4), Baltic Fleet (15/8), Galilean Quality (10/3), High Storm (11/2)

Verdict

None of the quartet can be ruled out, but BALTIC FLEET took another big step forward upped to this trip when third in a traditionally-strong York handicap at the Dante meeting and should have even more to offer. He gets the vote over Chester runner-up Mythical Bay.
