Offered little over 1¼m on debut at Newbury, and while this trip is more in keeping with his pedigree, it's hard to be confident of better.

Has looked green on both starts to date and needs this for a handicap mark.

Havana Grey filly. Half-sister to smart 7f-16.2f winner Alfred Boucher. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart 1¼m-1½m winner Mores Wells. Showed a bit on her Lingfield debut (7f, all-weather) but shaped as if she'll take after the dam's side of her pedigree and is likely to need longer trips.

Well-bred filly who was much sharper second time up when second in 5-runner Yarmouth novice (1m) in October. That form has substance and very much the one to beat with prospect of more to come as a 3-y-o.

Green on debut and left that form well behind when sixth of 15 in 7f novice at Newbury (good, 80/1) a fortnight ago. Likely to progress further.

Ghaiyyath filly. Dam unraced half-sister to winner up to 1¼m Querari and 1m/8.3f winner Sharja Bridge (both very smart). Caught the eye finishing with running left when fourth of 10 in 1m maiden at Windsor (1m) on recent debut. Open to improvement but a drop in trip perhaps isn't ideal.

Forecasts

Food For Thought (5/4), Quisana (3/1), Guitar Solo (9/2), Ingemar (8/1), Diane Chasseresse (14/1), Brocklesby Bill (20/1), Watercraft (20/1)

Verdict

FOOD FOR THOUGHT was much improved from debut when finding only the now-useful Sacred Ground too good at Yarmouth in October and will surely prove hard to beat on her return. Quisana may find this trip on the sharp side given how she shaped on her initial outing over 1m at Windsor, so Guitar Solo, who is open to more progress, is preferred for the forecast spot.
