Justified support on debut in 15-runner maiden at Fairyhouse (6f) last summer, scoring readily from Precise who landed a pair of Grade 1s later in the year. Likely she'll sharpen up for her Cork listed second 3 weeks ago and she remains open to improvement now handicapping.

Ended last season with success at Dundalk (6f) and shaped well returning from 6 months off when fourth at Naas (6f) 2 weeks ago, the race not getting to the bottom of him. Represents a yard going well and his present mark looks workable. Interesting.

Gowran maiden winner (7f) in August and caught the eye when fifth in listed company at Fairyhouse (6f) in September. Below best final start in the autumn but type to step forward from his reappearance in a small-field conditions event 45 days ago.

Took well to blinkers last year, recording back-to-back nursery wins at around 6f. Probably needed Cork reappearance and step forward in a change of headgear when seventh at Naas (6f) 2 weeks ago, plugging on without being ideally placed. Returns to 7f now.

Ghaiyyath colt who confirmed positives of first 2 starts when striking in a Dundalk maiden (7f) in December. This trip looks about right on that evidence now handicapping and interesting if the betting spoke in his favour.

Won a 7f Curragh nursery on soft last autumn and bettered that form when second of 9 in handicap at Cork (1m, heavy) on reappearance in April. However, not in same form at Naas 26 days ago.

Essentially progressive in maidens as a juvenile, seeing things out very well despite racing freely when successful on final outing at Leopardstown (7f) in October. Could do better again in handicaps this season on that evidence.

Starman filly who built on her encouraging debut effort when readily off the mark in a Navan maiden (5.8f) in July. Absent since but increase in trip promises to suit now handicapping and she's very much the type to improve.

Ran to a fairly useful level on 3 of his 4 starts during second half of last season, showing benefit of a recent run when opening his account in a Dundalk maiden (7f) in November. Type to do better again now handicapping as a 3-y-o. Yard in good form.

Not without promise in maidens and proved a different proposition when making a successful switch to handicaps at Roscommon (7.5f) 12 days ago, coming from much further back than the other principals. 10 lb higher now but there's surely even better to come.

Finished third all 3 starts in maidens, shaping second best for a long way on latest outing at Limerick (7.2f) 4 weeks ago. Remains with some potential now handicapping and connections took this prize 12 months ago. Interesting.

Consistent rather than progressive but made full use of her experience when landing 14-runner Dundalk maiden (7f) in March. Beat a subsequent winner then and goes handicapping with her stable in good form.

Dundalk nursery winner in December who returned to action with a good second in a Gowran claimer (1m) in April. However, has been caught out by racing freely on last 2 starts at up to 7.5f. Needs to settle down and this is a taller ask.

Verdict

SUBSTANCE left the impression his breakthrough Roscommon victory 12 days ago was only scratching the surface of what he may well have to offer this year and Joseph O'Brien's colt can make light of a 10 lb rise, albeit in what is a much deeper affair. Gavoo caught the eye on his reappearance and is another to be interested in for a stable going well. Quiet Mutiny, Zenford and Star of Sapphire are others making each-way appeal.
