Won over hurdles at Sedgefield in October for Mickey Bowen. Made hard work of things on first chase start for this yard when third of 7 in handicap chase there (21f) last month and didn't go with much fluency at Market Rasen 2 weeks ago. Others preferred.
Best effort as a chaser when landing second success over fences at Catterick in January and finished runner-up at Sedgefield on 2 of his 3 starts since, the latter coming towards the start of April. Won the 21f handicap on this card last year and he's shortlisted.
Scraped home when opening his account at Downpatrick (3m, good to firm) in July. More like it after a pair of poor runs when second of 7 in handicap chase at Perth (3m, heavy) in October and though he's not the most reliable, the booking of Bowen rates a plus on return from 7-month break.
Increasingly temperamental mare who looked regressive over hurdles last season. Seemingly stopped the slide when fourth of 8 in handicap chase at Perth (3m, good) on debut over fences 30 days ago but doesn't strike as likely to build on it.
Out of sorts since winning at C&D in July 2024 and return to this venue will need to bring about a change of fortunes.
Irish point winner who made a winning chase debut at Hereford (25f, good) in October 2024 but more miss than hit subsequently. Bit to prove returning from 11 months off having undergone a breathing operation.
On a winless run for Maurice Barnes but he was right back to form to make a successful debut for this yard in a 13-runner handicap chase at Hexham (3m, good) 21 days ago, travelling and jumping fluently. Should go well again with fitness assured.
Scored at Carlisle in December 2024 but off the boil subsequently that season and he's opposable returning for new yard (left Sam England) after more than a year off.
Poor strike rate (1-65 overall, taking into account the Flat and jumps) and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.

Forecasts
Halfway House Lad (6/5), Defence Witness (5/2), Kaviar Wood (4/1), Mistymal (15/2), Thehairyfella (17/2), Jakana (14/1), Lights Are Green (20/1), Isle Of Sark (20/1), Croagh Patrick (28/1), Jet Light (50/1), Fast Deal (125/1)
HALFWAY HOUSE LAD was a comfortable winner on his debut for Jimmy Moffatt 3 weeks ago and he can follow up at a track where his new trainer has a great record. Defence Witness and Kaviar Wood also merit consideration.
