Ardad Steve

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: S D Bowen| T: Eve Johnson Houghton

11/1

Foaled March 21. 32,000 gns Ardad colt. Dam once-raced half-sister to smart 7f-1¼m winner Hadaatha out of smart winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner) Hathrah. Stable had a promising first-time-out 2-y-o winner at Ascot recently so a market move would be interesting.

Foaled March 20. 70,000 gns No Nay Never colt. Dam, placed at 9.5f-1½m, out of useful 7f-1¼m winner (stayed 1½m) Beyond Brilliance. The betting should help guide to expectations.

Forecasts

Bassrah (9/4), Rogue Imperial (3/1), Boysofwallstreet (9/2), Peaceful Warrior (11/2), Easy Answer (11/1), Ardad Steve (11/1), Conciliate (16/1), Prince Kameo (16/1)

There's a good chance this will go to a newcomer. Archie Watson has typically hit the ground running with his juveniles so his recent 170,000 gns breeze-up purchase ROGUE IMPERIAL is the suggestion before any betting clues are known. Boysofwallstreet and Peaceful Warrior are other likely types on paper.
