Out of form over fences (beaten when falling over 4m here last time) but wasn't disgraced when third of 7 returned to this sphere at Sedgefield (27f, soft) on penultimate start. Eased 5 lb since and dangerous to discount.
C&D winner in summer 2024. Showed ability remains after long absence when third of 15 at Wetherby (3m, good) in March but went backwards from that when remote sixth at Perth last month. Bounce back needed.
In a good vein of form in recent months, completing a staying handicap hurdle hat-trick at Catterick and Sedgefield (twice). Winning run came to and end but still performed creditably when fourth of 15 over C&D (good) 17 days ago.
Fair maiden hurdler in Ireland earlier in his career. Below that level in 3 outings for Tom Ellis in summer 2024 but returns to Rules action for new yard on the back of a point win last month. Interesting to see what the betting makes of him.
Second success of the year and a career-best effort when seeing off 9 rivals at Stratford (3¼m, good to soft) in April. pulling 9 lengths clear. Shaped as if still in form (caught too far back) when fifth of 15 over C&D (good) since. Considered.
First impact in handicap hurdles when second of 9 over 2½m here (good to soft) in April and backed it up when second of 15 over C&D (good) 17 days ago, with a couple of today's rivals in behind. Might prove the answer.
Poor form so far, finishing a remote fifth of 10 on handicap debut at Perth (2½m, good) 25 days ago. A first-time tongue tie and step up in trip need to spark improvement.
Left previous handicap efforts behind in first-time cheekpieces when scoring over C&D (good to soft) in November 2024. Fifth is the best he's managed in 6 subsequent starts so his hopes are pinned on a return to Hexham sparking a revival.
Remains winless but latest third of 10 in 2½m Perth handicap is his most solid piece of form to date and he shaped as if this longer trip may suit.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. Mostly creditable efforts in defeat in the second half of last season, including third of 8 at Exeter (23f, good to soft) 32 days ago. Likely to be competitive again.
Out of sorts when last seen last spring. Has been given a chance by the handicapper as a result but the betting is perhaps the best guide after such a long time off.

MY BOY CHRISTY was suited by the step up to 3m when runner-up again here last time and might be ready to land a first win. East Eagle was better than the result in fifth behind the selection on that occasion and could go well. Seeyainthesuninn left the impression this step up to around 3m could suit when staying on for third over 2½m at Perth last month.
