A fairly useful performer for Henk Grewe when trained in Germany last year. Runner-up in minor events on final 3 starts before being sold for €42,000. May have a lenient opening mark though the betting probably the best guide on British debut.
4-time winner over hurdles last year, including a listed juvenile event at Aintree in December Third of 5 in maiden at Catterick (1½m, good to firm, 17/2) 26 days ago. More required on handicap debut.
9/4, didn't need to improve to win 5-runner handicap at Southwell (1¾m) 25 days ago. Had little in hand at the line and may find it tougher back on turf despite being raised just 2 Ib (yet to win away from the all-weather).
A fair performer when last seen on the Flat back in 2024. Twice a winner over hurdles during the 2025/26 jumps season. Bled when fourth of 6 in handicap hurdle (8/1) at Newcastle (2½m, good) in March.
13/2 and in first-time blinkers on Flat, raced freely in slowly-run race when fourth of 5 in handicap at Thirsk (1¾m, good) 16 days ago. Refitted with cheekpieces and can bounce back.
Has been in good heart since joining this yard, including over hurdles, and resumed winning ways in 9-runner handicap at Musselburgh (4/7) 19 days ago. Raised just 3 Ib and looks sure to give another good account.
In top form for this yard winning his last 2 starts over 2m at Southwell. Only up a further 2 Ib and has to be taken seriously in hat-trick bid.
Nineteen runs since last win in 2023. 17/2, good third of 6 in handicap at Redcar (1¾m, good to firm) 11 days ago. Remains opposable on balance.
Very much had the run of the race when getting off the mark in 4-runner handicap (3/1) at Ayr (15f, good to firm) 13 days ago, unchallenged. That was a weak race and he's passed over in a tougher event.

Forecasts
Cascade Hall (5/2), As Fast As Wind (3/1), Loki (11/2), Lord (6/1), Charlie Darling (10/1), Haarar (12/1), Billy No Mates (14/1), Swinging London (16/1), Ashdown Forest (16/1)
Several of these head into this on the back of a recent success and preference is for AS FAST AS WIND who should get a greater test of stamina returning to this longer trip. Ashdown Forest appeals as the type to make a return to form and can chase the selection home, while Charlie Darling should also be in the mix in his hat-trick bid.

- Charlie Darling10/1
