Smart colt who won 3 times in 2025, emulating his half-brother Perfect Power in winning the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket, showing a willing attitude after nearly coming down at the start. Disappointed in Group 3 at Ascot on return but worth another chance. Has 5 lb penalty.

Had a busy juvenile season, gaining his fifth win in Two Year Old Trophy Redcar in October. Below form in Greenham here on return but fared much better when fourth in Group 3 at Ascot 2 weeks ago.

Well regarded colt who won both starts last spring, latterly a 6f Group 3 at the Curragh. Resumed progress on second start back when third in Greenham here (7f) 4 weeks ago and must be considered back down in class/trip.

Raced over 7f on all-weather first 3 starts, having little trouble landing very short odds at Southwell on return. Ran well stepped up in class when sixth of 8 in Greenham here next time but needs to take another big step forward down in trip.

Raced mainly at 7f last year, winning a maiden at Chester before being collared late on in a sales race at York. Much improved when making a winning handicap debut dropped to this trip at Southwell on return but pulled too hard in Ascot Group 3 2 weeks ago.

Has proved to be a bargain buy for connections despite his habitual slow starts, winning Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot before going close in Newbury Super Sprint. Held form well upped in class after but likely to find a few too good on return in what is a strong race for the grade.

Useful colt who was placed in a 6f Group 3 at Kempton and 5f listed race at Dundalk on polytrack last autumn. Matched that form when making a winning return at Wolverhampton but bit to find here and still has to prove he's as good on turf.

Landed a valuable sales race at York (6f, good to firm) last summer and went close to landing another at Doncaster the following month. Creditable fourth on handicap debut at Newmarket on return and worth another try at this level.

Quickly established herself as one of the leading 2-y-o fillies over 6f for Ed Walker, winning Lowther at York before a near-miss in a Group 2 on the July Course. Ended campaign with good third in Cheveley Park at Newmarket and sets the standard on these terms taking on the males for first time.

Verdict

ROYAL FIXATION escapes a penalty for her win in the Lowther Stakes at York so looks the one to beat on these terms starting out for Karl Burke. Wise Approach must shoulder a 5 lb penalty for his Group 1 success in the Middle Park but still rates the main threat despite his underwhelming reappearance at Ascot, while the highly-regarded Albert Einstein stepped up on his belated comeback when third in the Greenham here and completes the shortlist in what is a very strong listed event.
