Surprise winner of the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Champion Day at Ascot. However, he was seen to maximum effect on that occasion and could only manage 7½ lengths fourth to Opera Ballo in Sandown Mile (good) on reappearance in a race which didn't pan out anywhere near as favourably.

Finished last in last year's Derby but has a highly progressive profile otherwise, ending 2025 with listed/Group 3 wins before returning to easily defy a penalty in Newmarket Group 3 (9f, good to firm). The manner in which he quickly put a seal on things suggest he'll be fine down at 1m.

Went close in this race 12 months ago (also third in Jacques Le Marois at Deauville) but ran poorly behind a couple of these on Sandown reappearance and this looks a stronger renewal than last year. First-time cheekpieces go on.

Won the Greenham here (7f, good) and Celebration Mile at Goodwood (good to firm) last year. Bounced straight back from a lesser effort in Abu Dhabi in February with a cosy success in 1m Ascot listed race 15 days ago.

Useful performer but surely in here to perform pacemaker duties for The Lion In Winter.

Vastly improved for this yard last year, stepping out of handicap company to readily win Group 2 Hungerford here (7f, good to firm) in August. Left poorly placed from a wide stall when fourth of 16 in Group 1 Foret (7f again) on final start and remains one who can make his mark at highest level.

Winner of the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and Sussex Stakes at Goodwood as a 3-y-o. Back on form with Grade 1 wins in North America last autumn (Breeders' Cup Mile latterly) and shaped better than result (not clear run) when fourth on reappearance at Keeneland 36 days ago.

Shaded a close finish in Group 1 Moulin at Longchamp (1m, good to firm) last September. Ended year with creditable 2¼ lengths fifth of 13 to Notable Speech in Breeders' Cup Mile at Del Mar (1m, firm). Only had 7 starts so may not have reached his limit for his increasingly powerful French yard.

Failed to win last year but was placed 4 times at Group 1 level. Dropped to listed company to make a winning reappearance at Leopardstown (1m, soft) last month. Fitted with first-time cheekpieces now stepping back up in class. A big career best will be needed.

Made rapid progress when winning all 4 starts last year, culminating with 2¼-length defeat of Opera Ballo in Group 2 Joel at Newmarket (1m, good to firm). Lost unbeaten record but made still made an encouraging return when third of 6 to Opera Ballo in Sandown Mile. Remains open to improvement.

In a cracking renewal ZEUS OLYMPIOS is taken to resume his progression with an outing under his belt and get the better of fellow highly promising 4-y-o Damysus, an impressive winner of the Earl of Sefton on his Newmarket reappearance. Notable Speech has shown his best recent form outside of Britain but will be a threat to all if on his game. A defeat in the Foret last autumn shouldn't be taken to suggest More Thunder's progress has come to an end and he also merits plenty of respect.
