Didn't really kick on after winning this handicap last season and was last of 7 in a listed race at Kempton (1¼m) on return/all-weather debut in March. Does have a good record second time out, though, and is now back on last successful mark.

Off the mark at the second attempt in a Newcastle novice. Showed a couple of quirks subsequently but he was back on the up when readily winning a 5-runner handicap there when last seen in October. 10 lb higher now, though, and sports first-time tongue tie on return having been gelded. Unexposed.

Has seemed more tractable since the hood has gone on, winning at Lingfield in February. Didn't really get the breaks when 3 lengths fourth of 14 to The Glen Rovers in handicap at Newcastle (1¼m) 42 days ago and goes back on turf from same mark.

Beaten a head by Thunder Run in this last season and was a good second a 21-runner premier handicap at the Curragh on his penultimate start of 2025. Left Michael Bell over the winter and shaped well when sixth of 24 in the Spring Cup at Newbury (1m) on return. Shortlisted back at more suitable trip.

Won at Ripon and Redcar last season (also third in this race) and built on a promising return to land an 8-runner handicap at Pontefract (1¼m, good) 24 days ago. Up 4 lb to a career-high mark, so will likely need to do better again in this stronger race.

Started 2026 with a pair of low-key efforts but he was right back to his best when causing a minor surprise to win the Easter Classic at Newcastle (1¼m) on Good Friday. Edged up just 3 lb but all 6 of his wins have on come on all-weather and he's probably opposable back on turf.

Won on his second handicap start last season, his final outing for Karl Burke. Good effort when third in a valuable C&D event at the Ebor Meeting next time (now 2 lb lower) and shaped as if better for the run when mid-field at Doncaster on return. Place claims.

Consistent sort was awarded a race here last summer when trained by Ed Bethell. Only mid-field in a pair of novice hurdles over the winter for this yard and others make more appeal returning to the Flat in first-time cheekpieces.

Useful form at his best at up to 1½m in France for Francis-Henri Graffard. Seemingly building up to something in 2 starts so far for this yard, most recently when third of 6 in handicap at Ripon (1½m, good) 20 days ago, and he's interesting for yard that get the best out of similar types.

Beaten only narrowly in a heritage handicap over C&D at the Ebor Meeting before gaining a deserved success at Newcastle in September. Stepped up on comeback when seventh of 12 at Musselburgh (9f) 33 days ago. Longer trip here will suit but is perhaps still a shade high in the weights.

Expensive 2-y-o looked useful when belatedly making a winning debut at Thirsk last summer. Good fourth on handicap bow at Doncaster and though he was only mid-field in the Cambridgeshire last time, he remains unexposed on the back of an interesting trainer change (left S. P. C. Woods).

Gained a second win of the winter when scoring at Newcastle (1¼m) in January and ran well next 2 outings. Down the field last 2 starts, albeit not seen to great effect in the disadvantaged group at Newmarket (1m) last time. Now back at last winning mark but others still preferred.

Started 2025 with victory in back-to-back 1m Redcar handicaps. Went the wrong way after and though there was a little bit more promise in his latest fifth at that C&D 25 days ago, he looks opposable again in this grade.

Shaped best when fourth at Musselburgh over 1m in September and confirmed that promise when successful at Chester a week later. Picked up where he left off when gamely winning a 8-runner handicap at Haydock (10.5f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Up 4 lb in better race here.

Front-runner who won 3 times at Redcar last season and added to his solid record at the track when third of 9 in a 1m handicap there (good to firm) last week. Career best likely needed to win this stronger race, though.

Produced his best effort across 3 runs last spring when only narrowly failing to make all in 10-runner Newbury maiden in May. Gelded and changed hands for 95,000 gns in October (left John & Thady Gosden) and worth market check making handicap debut after a year off.

Three-time winner in 2024 who made the frame on several occasions last season, including when runner-up at C&D in June. Shaped as if retaining all ability when fourth of 10 in handicap at Ripon (1¼m, good, 17/2) 29 days ago, unable to sustain his effort only late. This is tougher, though.

TONY MONTANA was beaten only narrowly in this race last season and shaped well on yard debut over an inadequate trip at Newbury 4 weeks ago. He can one place better than last year, with Divine Knight - a very interesting recruit for William Haggas - also shortlisted alongside the unexposed Warrant Holder.
