Sword Of Wessex^v¹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-10| J: L Morris| T: James Owen| OR: 71

11/4

Opened his account with the visor reapplied in a 4-runner handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, good to firm) 11 days ago. That was a very thin race but he's up only 4 lb and it is still early days with a yard that can get the best out of similar types.

John Galt^p,t¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-9| J: Jack Callan⁽³⁾| T: J A Osborne| OR: 70

8/1

Still looks a shade quirky but ran his best race on just his second handicap start when second of 5 in handicap (5/1) at Southwell (1¾m) 16 days ago. This is his turf debut but he's a leading player with good-value claimer up.

Proving consistent rather than progressive but she posted another solid effort when second of 5 in handicap at Nottingham (1¼m, good, 7/2) 13 days ago. Longer trip here promises to suit.

Forecasts

Johnny Boom (5/2), Sword Of Wessex (11/4), Kurios Lady (7/2), Iwantmytimewithyou (4/1), John Galt (8/1), Trojan Truth (25/1)

KURIOS LADY is bred to stay well and shaped as if she'd benefit from this longer trip when second at Nottingham last time. She gets the vote in a competitive heat over John Galt and Sword of Wessex.
