Akkadian Thunder³⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 9-10| J: D Tudhope| T: D O'Meara| OR: 91| C

15/8

Dual course winner (both at 7f) but good second of 19 on his C&D reappearance 34 days ago shows he has the speed for sprinting. Likely to figure again at a track which seems to bring out the best in him.

Rousing Encore¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 9-7| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR: 88| D

6/1

Likeable type who put in another good shift when second on his 6f Newcastle reappearance and shaped as if still in good form (caught too far back) when fifth of 13 at Newmarket 17 days ago.

Form: 1043-25

Rose Of Honour²¹⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: J Tate| OR: 88| D

9/4

Night of Thunder filly who looked a good prospect when winning 6f all-weather novices at Kempton and Southwell last September. Lacks the experience of the seasoned sprinters she comes across here but it may not stop her.

Form: 11-

Territorial Knight³⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-5| J: Mason Paetel⁽⁵⁾| T: K A Ryan| OR: 86| CD

4/1

Plenty of good efforts last season, including a C&D win. Did best of those ridden close to the pace when promising fifth (Akkadian Thunder second) of 19 on C&D reappearance 34 days ago. Likely to be winning again soon.

Form: 63125-5

Brummell¹⁸²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: Ryan Sexton| T: Miss J A Camacho| OR: 86| DWS

16/1

Added 3 more wins over 5f last year, including on reappearance. Lost his way on final 2 outings and has had a breathing operation ahead of this first outing for 6 months. Has raced mainly at 5f but did win over 6f at the start of his career.

Form: 481107-

Papa Cocktail²²

Age: 7| Weight: 8-12| J: J Mitchell| T: M Herrington| OR: 79| BF| CD

Form: 5-41362

Forecasts

Akkadian Thunder (15/8), Rose Of Honour (9/4), Territorial Knight (4/1), Rousing Encore (6/1), Papa Cocktail (12/1), Brummell (16/1)

ROSE OF HONOUR takes on more battle-hardened rivals but looks talented enough to cope and can remain unbeaten. Territorial Knight shaped well when fifth on his C&D reappearance at the Lincoln meeting and can provide the chief threat ahead of Akkadian Thunder.
