Proved better than ever when winning 9-runner event at Nottingham last time by length from Pulsar Star, digging deep to assert final 100 yds. 3 lb rise looks fair but consistency has never been his strong suit.
Won at Beverley and Musselburgh in 2025 before finishing second at Nottingham on final start that year. The third that day won next time, so clearly of interest off just 1 lb higher, but took a couple of runs to get up to speed last season.
Won a maiden over this trip at Ayr last April but offered very little in handicaps next 3 starts. Difficult to make a case for on return.
Much improved when back-to-back winner in handicaps last summer. Excuses since, including on return (raced too freely). Good value claimer booked but will need to settle better if he's to be involved at the finish.
Yet to win but placed numerous occasions in maidens/novices. Mark looks a fair one but was lit up by first-time visor when fourth on return. That headgear is retained and enough stamina in dam's side of pedigree to suggest he'll stay now stepped up to 1m. Place claims.
Won handicaps at Pontefract and Nottingham last summer but form tailed off in the autumn and the likelihood is that he'll be better for this return after 6 months off.
11-y-o who added 2 more wins last year and made a satisfactory return to action when 5 lengths fourth of 9 to Zowal at Pontefract earlier this month. Back down to last winning mark.
Edged down the weights during a winless 2025 campaign (won at this course in 2024) and stepped up on low-key reappearance when third in a Wolverhampton handicap (8.6f) in March. Best not judged on run last time, racing closer to the pace than ideal and meeting trouble. Worth another chance.
Won handicap at Beverley in September and looks to be working her way back to form this year, stepping up on reappearance when 3¾ lengths fourth of 6 to City Queen at Southwell last time. This will likely require a career best, however.
Capitalised on a falling mark when opening his account in a 15-runner handicap at Nottingham 17 days ago. Did not have much to spare there, but a 3 lb rise is not excessive and his prominent style should be well suited by this track.

UP THE JAZZ has not won for some time but did not look far from ending that wait when third at Wolverhampton in March and, with his latest run easily excused, is narrowly preferred to last-time-out winner The Sweet Escape and the consistent Hostility.
