Ended a long losing run in handicap hurdle at Ludlow in November and took advantage of a much-reduced mark returned to the Flat in 7-runner handicap at Bath (17f, good to soft) last week, clearing right away from a suspect stayer. 4 lb higher here but can go in again with a talented claimer booked.

Signed off 2025 turf season on a winning note at Catterick and back-to-back winner of Newcastle handicaps at around 2m earlier this year. Fared best of those held up when sixth of 14 at Lingfield earlier in the month and not without each-way hope here.
|
Pontefract scorer last spring but has seemingly had his enthusiasm dented by a spell chasing, never-nearer fifth of 10 having made early mistakes in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Bangor (23f) 5 weeks ago. Needs this return to the level to spark a resurgence.

On a losing run stretching back to July 2024 and wasn't exactly knocking on the door towards the back end of last season. However, he returns from a career-low mark and it's worth noting he's gone well fresh in the past.
|
Son of Kingman who wasn't shown to anything like best effect on his handicap bow at Pontefract earlier in the month, never dangerous having missed the break. Is the choice of David Allan and he's well worth another chance.
|
Made good progress in handicaps towards the back end of last year, making it 3 wins in his last 5 starts over 17f at Bath (good) in October. Beaten a long way out on yard/hurdling debut at Newcastle in January but can resume his progress returned to the level in a reapplied visor.
|
Fair form in France for Andre Fabre but hasn't shown much since coming to Britain, though she may strip fitter for Catterick return earlier in the month. Tongue tie applied and steps up to 2m on the Flat for the first time.

Forecasts
No More Bolero (7/4), Rupert The Prince (15/8), Tarbat Ness (5/1), Treasure Islands (10/1), Zimmerman (10/1), Diamand De Vindecy (12/1), Stitching Wheel (80/1)
This looks to revolve around NO MORE BOLERO, who took advantage of a much-reduced mark when bolting up at Bath last week and a 4 lb rise is unlikely to prove insurmountable. Heading up the dangers is Treasure Islands, who wasn't shown to anything like best effect on his recent handicap bow so is worth another chance. Rupert The Prince can edge out Tarbat Ness for third.
