Progressive form when winning 4 times in 2024 but made the track only twice last year, those outings coming 8 months apart. Now down to an eye-catching mark and market might prove best guide after another 130 days off.
Consistent sort was placed on 2 of his 3 outings last season and has held his form well in the UAE this winter, a creditable third of 9 when last seen at Meydan (1m) last month. Respected back on home soil.
Chelmsford maiden winner in summer 2024 when trained by Tom Clover and also scored in Qatar on his debut for Alban de Mieulle early last year. Disappointing back in France on his final outing for that yard in August and he's worth a betting check having since switched to the care of Hamad Al Jehani.
Started 2025 with victory in back-to-back 1m handicaps here. Went the wrong way after and didn't go with much encouragement returning for a new yard at Doncaster (1m) 3 week ago, so tricky to assess at present.
Placed at Newmarket (1m) and Southwell (1½m) last season but looked rather half-hearted when last seen at Newbury, so has something to prove dropping back in trip after 178 days off.
Only has a maiden win to his name but has been highly tried at times and ended last term with a good fourth at Doncaster in October on his final run for Ed Bethell. Always behind after a slow break on debut for this yard at that same course last month, though, and visor now goes back on.
Front-runner won 3 times here last season, including twice over this trip, and he signed off for the campaign when a creditable third of 13 in another C&D event (good to soft). Stuck to his task in likeable fashion there and he's shortlisted returning from 6 months off.
Hasn't stood much racing in recent years and has been more miss than hit on balance. Refused to race at Lingfield on his second outing for this yard at Lingfield last time and needs treating with caution after that.
Strong-travelling hold-up type finally opened account at Newcastle (1m) in February and made up plenty of ground to double his tally at that same C&D 24 days ago. 2 lb out of weights here but he won going away last time and looks more solid than most going back on turf.

Forecasts
Skipper (10/3), Jolly Roger (10/3), Seagolazo (4/1), Double Parked (4/1), Cadarn (17/2), New Image (12/1), Sea Legend (16/1), Intrusively (16/1), Diderot (50/1)
A trappy race that can go the way of last-time-out Newcastle scorer SEA LEGEND, who has fewer question marks about his current wellbeing than the bulk of his rivals. Double Parked built a fine course record here last season and is feared most, with Jolly Roger also considered after a consistent spell in the Middle East.
