Point winner who turned in his best effort under Rules when fourth in this race 12 months ago. Fit from pointing (third last time) and could reach the frame in this again if reacting well to first-time cheekpieces.
Pulled up in this race on previous Rules start 2 years ago. Last month's runner-up finish in a maiden point with cheekpieces added (retained) shows ability remains but he's yet to win between the flags and the suspicion is there'll be at least a couple too strong for him here.
Prolific in points in the last 12 months, making it 6 wins in his last 7 starts when seeing off 2 rivals at Sandon 16 days ago. Trainer Joe O'Shea has a very strong hunter record, including wins at Cheltenham and Aintree this spring with Barton Snow. Likely hard to beat.
Landed a maiden point last month but 12 lengths behind Boley Bob when third at Tranwell since. Hunter debut.
Took a while to get off the mark in points but has now won his last 2 completed starts, gaining the latter win by 16 lengths at Overton last month. John Dawson does the steering on hunter debut. Respected.
Well held in a course bumper and maiden hurdle under Rules. Also 0-5 in points but did go down by only a length in a maiden at Friars Haugh on his return from an absence 6 weeks ago.
Third in this on hunter debut under James Innes last year and arrives on the back of a second point win last month. Place claims in this again.
No form in 4 hurdles under Rules earlier in career but has fared better in points lately, winning twice at Alnwick this year. Hunter debut.

Forecasts
Boley Bob (4/11), Phantoms Cave (5/1), Theoldboggroad (9/1), High On The Hill (14/1), The Back Braes (22/1), Bentley Road (25/1), Flying Skipper (33/1), Amma Lord (33/1)
BOLEY BOB has been dominant in the pointing field in the last 12 months and can boost his stable's already excellent strike-rate in hunters this season. Fellow hunter newcomer Phantoms Cave also arrives in good form from points and is second choice ahead of last year's third Theoldboggroad.
