Winner of a novice hurdle and a couple of small-field handicap chases for Alan King in 2024. Better signs for current yard in recent starts (probably would have been placed but for departing 4 out latest). First-time cheekpieces replace the visor he's worn lately.
Useful in France and back to form of late, including second of 14 in a competitive Go North series final over 21f here last month, closing all the way to the line. That suggests today's extra yardage may help and he's a must for the shortlist.
Lightly-raced 9-y-o who won a 21f course handicap (good to soft) last spring and was placed over C&D on his next 2 outings. Latest Haydock effort was disappointing but his course record affords him respect with the Mark Walford yard among the winners.
Unexposed sort who made it third time lucky in handicaps when overcoming several mistakes to see off the reopposing Nosy Neighbour by 1¾ lengths at Newcastle (2¾m, good) 3 weeks ago. Could be more to come for in-form stable.
Returned to form for current yard when third (Jericoacoara second) of 14 in Go North series final over 21f here last month. Backed that up when second of 4 over 19f at Carlisle over Easter. Enters calculations.
Third leg of a hat-trick last spring came over C&D. Lost his form under both codes after but took a step back in the right direction in blinkers (retained) when third of 13 in a Go North series final over 3m at Musselburgh last month. Well handicapped if able to build on that.
Dual course scorer in the autumn but has found things harder since. His hopes are pinned on a step up to 2¾m for the first time sparking a revival.
Returning from another breathing operation/4 months off when falling heavily over fences in March. Beaten 16 lengths fifth of 6 in 21f course handicap back hurdling since. Hard to be confident about at present. Tongue tie back on.
Positive start to his handicap hurdle career when 1¾ lengths second of 8 to Jehol de Thaix at Newcastle (2¾m, good) 20 days ago. Won't need to pull out much more for first-time cheekpieces.
Without a win this season but more promising signs on her last 2 starts, outrunning odds of 200/1 when 9¾ lengths fourth of 9 to World of Fortunes in listed mares event at Kelso last month. Successful off a similar mark here last spring. Gets the vote.
Landed third Cartmel success (all have come on soft/heavy ground) when a decisive winner last July. Creditable fourth there next time but off since a lesser run at Newcastle in November. Got to be a chance he'll be using this as a tune up for a return to Cartmel.

Forecasts
Jericoacoara (4/1), Jehol De Thaix (4/1), Kilmore Rock (6/1), Starlyte (13/2), Menaggio (8/1), Heart Above (17/2), Nosy Neighbour (9/1), Magic Wave (11/1), Rauzan (12/1), Dollar Collar (28/1), Secret Secret (80/1)
STARLYTE ran very well in the face of a stiff task in a listed race here last month and can show she's on a good mark back in a handicap. Jericoacoara shaped well second in a Go North final over slightly shorter here last time and heads the dangers along with recent Newcastle 1-2 Jehol de Thaix and Nosy Neighbour.
