Runner-up only start in points and having looked unsuited by the drop back to 2m when fourth of 14 at Wexford last time, he should do better now sent handicapping over a longer trip by his excellent yard
Four-time hurdle/chase winner last season (including a second course success) but more miss than hit of late, a tongue strap now refitted having been well held at Cork last time.
Lightly-raced maiden who improved to finish second of 10 on handicap debut at Wexford (2m). That's form to be positive about, and he could take another step forward upped in trip.
No form in 3 starts this year and hopes pinned on the fitting of more severe headgear.
Cheap purchase out of the Gordon Elliott yard who has proved inconsistent, running no sort of race at Limerick in February, and it's hard to be confident with tongue strap now tried.
Off the mark over a slightly longer trip here on New Year's Day and has been given a chance by the handicapper after a couple of quiet runs, sporting first-time cheekpieces to boot.
Lightly raced for his age but offered little on handicap debut (50/1) at Punchestown in February.
Pulled up on his previous 2 starts, most recently in a Wexford handicap chase on first run for his new yard.
Maiden turned in his best effort of the season when second behind an impressive winner in testing conditions at Clonmel (3m) but was possibly still feeling the effects when pulled up at Limerick 2 weeks on. Has been freshened up for this and could be worth another chance with cheekpieces refitted.
Lightly-raced 8-y-o chased home a well-treated one at Punchestown (19f) in January and quickly resumed progress when justifying support in a 16-runner handicap hurdle at Clonmel last time. Likely to have more to offer back up in trip and may well defy a 6 lb rise.
Winning pointer has shown little under Rules, including on reappearance/handicap hurdle debut for new trainer at Cork last time.
Hit the frame in handicaps last year without progressing, though does at least have good-value claimer aboard for the first time, on his return from 6 months off.
Maiden ran her best race on second start for new yard when fifth of 16 in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel and is one for the shortlist back over further.
Finished closer than previously when sixth of 15 in a handicap hurdle (66/1) at Clonmel last time but that's still only poor form.
Long-standing maiden needs to bounce back from a poor run in November but did finish third here on return from a similar absence this time last year.

ELLIES ROCK went through the race like a horse with more to offer when justifying support at Clonmel, and she's fancied to follow up off a 6 lb higher mark. If there's a fly in the ointment, it's most likely to be Gordon Elliott's handicap debutant King of Westeros, while it wouldn't be a surprise to see Mullanour bounce back to form, either.
- Ellies Rock3/1
- King Of Westeros11/1
- Mullanour15/2
