Mansell McTaggart Mane Event Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Chased home a now-useful prospect at Catterick in December but didn't look the easiest ride (again hung left) when second at Haydock (21f) on final start for Fergal O'Brien. Excellent new yard likely to get the best out of him, though, and it's notable that Harry Skelton rides.

Made a winning debut in bumpers for Milton Harris but off 27 months prior to this season and only hinted at ability on first start following a breathing operation at Newbury (50/1) last time.

Ran to a fairly useful level in Ascot/Cheltenham hurdles earlier in the season but missed a golden opportunity when second in a weak C&D maiden (8/11) last time. However, he's probably still the one to beat if back to his best in first-time cheekpieces.

Offered something to work with in bumpers but shaped like one for handicaps in a pair of hurdle starts at the beginning of last year.

Unplaced both starts in Irish points and did no better switched to hurdling over C&D last time.

Modest handicapper on Flat (stays 1½m) who shaped as if still in good form when sixth on the all-weather last time. In very capable hands for the switch to hurdles but will probably have a more realistic chance in handicaps.

Made a successful on bumper debut at Fontwell, and while it was a step back in the right direction when runner-up (no match for winner) on second hurdle start at Kempton, she'll likely come into her own over longer trips.

Never looked like justifying support on debut at Fontwell and offered nothing over the same C&D following 4 months off last time.
