Smart stayer on Flat for Andrew Balding. Showed an aptitude for hurdling when second of 11 in 2m Wetherby novice over Christmas (winner won next time) and he confirmed that promise at the second attempt (post breathing operation) when successful at Musselburgh 4 weeks ago. Should be more to come.

Point winner who has made an encouraging start over hurdles, getting off the mark at the second attempt at Taunton (2m) in December. Solid-enough efforts in defeat since, last twice in handicaps and he should be a big player back in a novice.

£26,000 3-y-o, second foal, half-brother to French 1¼m winner Zokoa. Dam maiden on Flat in France. Dead-heated for third on first of 3 starts in points, pulled up last 2 outings (latest Mar 22).

Held every chance when falling at the last sole outing in Irish points and positives to draw from 3 runs under Rules, travelling well fitted with a tongue tie at Sedgefield a month ago. Has a bigger performance in him.

Won sole start in point bumpers in February 2023 and followed up in a first-time hood in a Newton Abbot bumper in July of that year. Looked useful that day but absent best part of 3 years and no impact on stable/hurdles debut 17 days ago.

Runner-up on his completed starts in points and showed a fair level of ability in 3 bumpers in 2025 for C. W.J.Farrell. Never a factor on last month's stable debut switched to hurdling.

Bred for the Flat and hit the fame all 3 starts in bumpers, most recently at Wetherby a month ago. That's a sound platform ahead of this switch to hurdles.

Fair Flat maiden in France. Changed hands for €140,000 and has improved with each of his 3 runs over hurdles, readily landing 2m juvenile at Market Rasen in February. Will stay further but still very much the one to beat kept to this trip.

Half-sister to useful hurdler Cottesloe Sunshine. Runner-up on completed start in Irish points last April and the winner of that race was second in a Newbury bumper. Fitted with a hood and underwhelming Rules debut at Haydock a fortnight ago.

€36,000 3-y-o, Maxios gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/chaser Minella Youngy and fair 3m chase winner Kilfilum Woods. Unseated rider sole start in Irish points but represents powerful owner.

Fairly useful form when winning twice from 4 starts on the level (raced at 11/12f) for Karl Burke in 2025. However, has made little impact in 3 starts over hurdles within a month and he's a handicap project.

From a useful family and won 9-runner fillies newcomers hurdle at Pau in December by 1¾ lengths for J. Delaunay. Greenness apparent when fourth of 7 at Wetherby in February and she should build on that.

SENATOR continued his theme of race-by-race progress when successful at Market Rasen in February and with the prospect of more to come, he looks the one to be with. Alsakib won't be matching his Flat form over hurdles but he did get the job done last time and he's a threat, along with Tunisya.
