Failed to beat a rival on first 2 starts but much more encouragement of late, matching previous best when third on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 4 weeks ago. Visor goes on and he could yet have more to offer on back of just 4 starts. Makes turf debut.

Fair maiden for Jane Chapple-Hyam (sold for 40,000 gns) who left low-key stable debut effort well behind equipped with a first-time hood when third over this trip at Doncaster 10 days ago. Unexposed granted this sort of test and he's one to bear in mind.

Fair form when fourth on first 2 starts in novice contests at up to 1m before a lesser display when fifth at Kempton (1m) in September. However, bred to be suited by step up to 1¼m and type her yard do well with in handicaps, so one to note in betting for clues on return.

Very low-key debut effort at Windsor but much more to like about his 2 subsequent efforts, making late headway into fifth over an inadequate 7f on qualifying run at Southwell in October. Goes handicapping now for yard in very good form and there's better to come.

Progressed with each outing in novice company, leaving the impression he will be suited by this step up to 1¼m when third on qualifying run at Chelmsford (1m) in November. Another likely improver now handicapping having been gelded.

Son of New Bay who was gelded following 3 runs as a juvenile (also fitted with hood) but he refused to settle and merely plugged on when fifth on return/handicap debut at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 9 days ago. Tongue strap now added and too soon to be writing him off for shrewd outfit.

Made a successful nursery debut at Musselburgh in August but not really gone on from that, finishing last of 6 on first crack at this trip at Chelmsford 13 days ago. Cheekpieces now applied.

Nearer last than first in trio of maiden/novice contests at up to 7f but she represents leading National Hunt yard and very much bred to be suited by this increase in trip on handicap bow. No surprise to see him capable of better and booking of Rossa Ryan catches the eye.

Sea The Moon filly who built on debut effort when fourth in 11-runner Yarmouth maiden in September. Never figured at Leicester on final outing but switch to handicaps in her favour following 6 months off and another to note in the betting for clues.

Forecasts

Any Which Way (3/1), Dryburgh (4/1), Al's River (9/2), Causing Problems (11/2), Extraterrestrial (6/1), Glenna (12/1), Tiny Riot (14/1), Femme Fatale (18/1), Port Darwin (22/1)

Verdict

The market is likely to prove a very informative guide but TINY RIOT is a fascinating runner for his top National Hunt yard and, every inch the type to improve now handicapping over this longer trip, he gets the nod with Rossa Ryan an eye-catching booking. Any Which Way is another expected to improve on handicap bow, with Extraterrestrial and Glenna just a couple of others to consider.
