Resumed winning ways in a listed race at Gowran last summer before twice finishing second in pattern company. Gelded since and he has strong claims on these terms.

Successful 3 times at Leopardstown last year and also finished second in listed company there in August. Combination of the step up to around 2m and soft ground perhaps conspired against her at this course when last seen in September (gelded since).

Lightly-raced in recent years and put his underwhelming hurdles debut display in February behind him when runner-up back in this sphere at Dundalk (10.7f) last time. Major player.

Just a Dundalk minor event to his name last year and latest effort there wasn't one of his better ones. However, he resumes here on a workable mark and a bold show could be on the way.

Not the most reliable of types nowadays and ended last season with a couple of heavy defeats.

Lightly-raced 4-y-o who struggled for Aidan O'Brien and while his second in a juvenile hurdle at Ascot in January was a solid effort, that is sandwiched between a couple of poor performances.

Useful performer who notched fourth success here when landing a Group 3 over 1¼m back in August 2023. Hasn't managed to get his head in front since but would have a serious chance if resuming in good order.

Forecasts

Emit (5/4), Dallas Star (10/3), A Piece Of Heaven (11/2), Happy Pharoah (7/1), Layfayette (10/1), Falcon Eight (16/1), Genealogy (22/1)

Verdict

The one who appeals most is EMIT, who did very little wrong last season and the booking of Ryan Moore naturally adds to his appeal. A Piece Of Heaven had Dallas Star a place adrift when runner-up in a minor event at Dundalk and they may again fill the places.
