Horse A-Z
Ffos Las novice hurdle winner on heavy ground last season. Matched that level of form when runner-up on second chase start at Hereford last time and he needs considering off 1 lb lower here.

Made the frame first 3 starts this season following a second breathing operation. Always to the fore when opening chase account over C&D back from an 11-week break last month and remains on a feasible mark having gone up 6 lb for that.

Regressed for Paul Nicholls and similar story for new connections this season, prior to finishing third in a 9-runner Doncaster handicap (3m, good to soft) in February (first run following another breathing operation). Wouldn't be without hope if able to build on that here.

Dual hurdles winner who left previous efforts in this sphere behind when going close with first-time blinkers enlisted at Catterick in January. However, he didn't appear enamoured with the step up in trip at the same course next time, so this further increase in distance has to be a worry.

Shaped well when runner-up in a mares maiden hurdle on Rules debut at Hexham in October 2024. Has failed to build on that subsequently but she was a wide-margin winner of her sole start between the flags, which is worth bearing in mind now that she's switched to fences.

Forecasts

Realisation (11/8), Stratagem (3/1), Mountain Mike (3/1), Ailt An Chorrain (8/1), Mary Stanford (12/1)

Verdict

REALISATION firmly dispelled any question marks regarding her stamina over C&D last month and a 6 lb rise for that decisive victory looks manageable. She may have most to fear from Mountain Mike, who bettered his chase debut effort when second at Hereford and is probably capable of better in this sphere. Stratagem is best of the rest.
