Top-class performer who showed potent turn of foot to win Group 1 Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot and International Stakes at York last summer. Couldn't handle Calandagan when second in Champion Stakes at Ascot final 4-y-o start but faces nothing of that calibre here and is the one to beat.

Looked as good as ever before the turn of the year, winning Group 2 at Tokyo before 1¾ lengths second of 18 to Jantar Mantar in Group 1 Mile Championship at Kyoto. One of the likelier ones to pick up the pieces if Ombudsman fails to fire.

Doubled tally for the year in 8-runner Singspiel Stakes (C&D) in February, beating Dividend by 2½ lengths. Aided by both a good position and the emphasis on speed that day, but should get a similarly positive ride from stall 1 and holds place claims.

Better than ever when winning both starts at this track this season, namely Al Fahidi Fort (7f) in January and Ras Al Khor (7f, by 2½ lengths from Mysterious Night) in March. That still leaves him with a bit to find back over 9f, though.

One-time very smart performer who won this contest in 2024. Was a notch or 2 below that level last year, though, and failed to settle fully when 4¾ lengths second in the Group 1 Neom Turf Cup at King Abdulaziz last time. Is probably set for no better than minor honours back down in trip.

Progressive 4-y-o who has recently graduated from the handicapping ranks, winning Group 3 before 1½ lengths second of 8 to Rebel's Romance in Dubai City of Gold here. Drop back down in trip won't be a problem and only a bit more is required for him to make an impact at this level.

Smart gelding. Didn't need to improve to win 9-runner local Group 2 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cup at Doha 42 days ago by 1¼ lengths from Holloway Boy. Has more on his plate in this company and is ideally suited by shorter trips.

Has thrived since fitted with cheekpieces, winning back-to-back handicaps at this track in February before shaping well upped in grade when 2½ lengths second of 8 to Quddwah in Singspiel Stakes (C&D) 28 days ago. This is tougher, though.

OMBUDSMAN was one of the stars of last year and, with this intermediate trip likely to suit if anything, will surely prove very hard to beat as he bids to give his stable a fourth win in this race in the last 6 years. Gaia Force has the widest draw to overcome but is still fancied to take a hand, while Quddwah can pick up some place money.
