Virgin Bet Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle

Back in more realistic company, having been well beaten both starts (pulled up in William Hill Hurdle latest) since winning 2m handicap in soft ground at Wincanton in December.

Made fairly useful winning start in France prior to promising second at Ascot on sole start for Gary Moore in November 2022, though absence of over 3 years naturally a concern ahead of this handicap/stable debut.

Finished solid fifth in better company at Ascot in December and only narrowly beaten by an improver when second at Plumpton the following month. Big player down in trip/class.

Bolted up on handicap debut at Ludlow but found life tougher off 12 lb higher mark in a competitive race for the grade over C&D last time.

Veteran hasn't stood much racing in recent seasons but showed plenty of spark remains on his return when runner-up off this mark at Fakenham 10 days ago.

Attracted some support but ran badly in handicap chase at Leicester in December, and it's hard to be confident making first hurdle start for nearly 3 years.

Better than the result when sixth in 11-runner handicap at Taunton in December (having been strong in the later betting) and needs considering with sights lowered following a break.

Fairly useful Flat winner impressed when making all over C&D on hurdles bow, but he didn't look entirely straightforward when pulled up in Grade 2 juvenile at Cheltenham in January and has a bit to prove on handicap debut.

Having fallen below his last winning mark, ran better than for a while when fifth in a solid-looking 13-runner handicap at Warwick last time.
