Course winner was successful in similar grade at Wolverhampton in November and looked unlucky not to finish closer when seventh of 12 in a better handicap at Kempton the following month. Has a good record fresh and makes appeal back down in grade with good-value apprentice retained.

On a going day when fifth in competitive handicap at Galway Festival on stable debut last summer but typically hit-and miss since, looking hard ride when third on hurdle debut in November (tailed off in Grade 2 novice since).

Went close behind an improver off this mark on handicap bow last season. Likely to come on for creditable reappearance third at Wolverhampton and very much unexposed over this longer trip. Ticks plenty of boxes.

In form of his life, winning three of his previous 5 starts and losing little in defeat from a poor position when fourth at this track (18.4f) 10 days ago. Should remain competitive.

Fairly useful for Ralph Beckett in 2022 but has been off for over 3 years (gelded in the interim). Market can guide on stable debut.

Third at Wolverhampton last month but that form has taken a few knocks, and he's since underlined his inconsistency.
