Pretty useful chaser at his best for Ben Pauling but recent hunter debut (fit from points) at Leicester was inauspicious. First-time hood he sported that day is discarded here and needs to bounce back in a major way.
Winner of 8 of his 21 starts over fences for previous connections but he was well held both starts in hunters (and in 2 open points) for this yard last year.
Successful on 2 of his 3 previous visits to this course, including when landing this race in decisive fashion 12 months ago. Second in a small-field open point last month, so won't be found wanting fitness-wise and he's clearly the one to beat.
Fair in bumpers/over hurdles for Gordon Elliott some time ago and multiple point winner for current yard. However, his efforts between the flags since returning from a break/wind op have not been at all inspiring.

Forecasts
Janika (5/4), Bowtogreatness (6/4), Go On Chez (7/2), Coolagh Park (14/1)
Last year's winner JANIKA shaped well between the flags back from a break last month and, given the doubts surrounding each of his three rivals, he looks the way to go. Go On Chez gets the nod for forecast purposes, with Bowtogreatness in need of a significant uplift following a tame hunter debut at Leicester.
