Matched a 30-year modern-day record of 8 straight handicap wins when scoring at Southwell early last month and did enough to suggest he's still in form in better race at this track last time. Makes rare start over 6f but forecast strong pace should help.

Ended turf season in fine heart, hitting the frame in 4 consecutive handicaps. Has won off a break previously and needs considering with sights lowered.

Returned to form when making a winning reappearance over C&D last month and while this is a better race, he remains fairly treated on old form.

Nowhere near his useful best for current connections but there have been signs of a revival here recently.

Won a similar C&D handicap in January. Well held both starts since, though his latest run can be forgiven (raced wide), and he has a better draw this time.

Won twice on turf last year and while his sole all-weather win came over C&D, he typically needs his reappearance run.

Back to winning ways in 6f Southwell handicap on Tuesday. Will find this tougher under a penalty but does have a good record over C&D.
