DragonBet The Roar Before Cheltenham Welcome Offer Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Already as good a chaser as he was a hurdler, finishing second at Wincanton before making the most of a good opportunity in a match race at Plumpton (2½m) last month.

Fairly useful bumper winner who finished in the money on each of his 5 starts over hurdles. Has also reached the frame on both completed starts over fences, albeit he was beaten 24 lengths when fourth last time.

Progressive dual hurdle winner last season. Promising start to her chase career in handicaps around 2½m towards the end of 2025 and probably worth forgiving a subsequent odds-on defeat at Huntingdon as her stamina seemed stretched tackling 3m for the first time. Has had a breathing operation.

Maiden hurdler but this point winner went in readily at Fontwell (19.5f, good to soft) on her debut over fences in November. Good close third (Batwomen sixth) in a big field at Cheltenham 5 weeks later but disappointing when distant fourth over 3m at Market Rasen since.

Got back on the up in no uncertain terms for a new yard when bolting up in 2½m Warwick handicap (soft) last winter but hasn't got close to that form in 2 outings this season. Found to have an irregular heartbeat when pulling up back at Warwick last time.

Competitive off this sort of mark over hurdles but has failed to complete on all 3 chase starts, unseating the last twice. Comes with obvious risks.

Better than ever to win at Sedgefield and Market Rasen for Olly Murphy in the autumn but has finished a well-held fifth on both starts for this yard.
